The last two or three weeks have seen temperatures here in the mid 50's to low 60's. Yesterday, I was sweating in the sun with my coat on. Today, I didn't even wear a sweater. Even our bedroom, which holds the cold exceptionally well and can be more than 10 degrees colder than the outside, is starting to warm.
This while folks at home are experience near record cold.
Please rest assured that we will be relaxing in the sun in the yard today, thinking of you shivering at home. Please also forgive how smug we will feel about it! We're suddenly loving the sub-tropical lifestyle.
Alternatively, if you'd like to reciprocate smugness, flip on a light-switch. We went two-days without electricity this weekend.
I spent 2 and a half hours today clearing out the driveway and shoveling off the porch from our latest storm that dumped 12 - 18 inces of snow on us. The wind was 35 mph so the drifting was substantial. However, we did not loose electricity and with the wood burner, the house is staying warm. I am glad you are getting warmer and hope it continues for you.
