Here is a quick post devoted to staying warm. The temperature in our bedroom has dropped into the low-to-mid 40's at night but get's back into the 50's during the day.
It's actually not that big of a deal, once you are under the cover of the Peace Corps Sleeping bag, it feeks like 90 degrees all around you. You would not believe (or maybe you would) how warm and comfortable it is in the bag. As for the room, we don't spend too much time in it.
Here us Amy in her new hoodie. She adores it. This is how she looks most of the time around the house. Thank you so much for sending it.

This next one is of one of our best friends. Our little Peace Corps provided kerosene heater. We'll put this on in the room when it's especially cold for an hour at night and in the morning. It doesn't make the room "warm", but it certainly raises the temperture and is nice if we are going to be in this room and not sleeping.

Here is how our other best friend stays warm. The big metal thing is a Petchi, this is the only other source of heat in our large home. The room with this in it is very warm, sweater not needed. Wood goes in the small door to the left and you can cook on the top and in the oven. (Large door on the right)

One of the good things about Bogota is that it is the beginning of Sumer. It does rain almost every day, but the temperatures are between 65 and 70+ every day as well. Sorry we can't send any of it your way.
Take care and stay warm!
Miss you both!
Kelly
Yay for wood heat! Indian summer is officially over in Ohio. It is 18 degrees right now, and we are burning our wood stove non-stop. Does the dog ever get burned sleeping under the stove like that?
From Tom
** Surprisingly, the dog does not seem to get burned. ***
