This is a giant statue that sits in the very center of our city. (Kutaisi) This is King David the Builder. In one hand is Gelati Monastery, an ancient center of science and research.

The weather has been nice here lately, Amy and I are enjoying the temperature in the 60's.
Is there a group of miniature monks in Georgia that can fit in a palm-sized monastery?

I should have pointed out that the statue is in fact 69 Stories tall and that the monastery in David's hand is large enough to house 6 full, life-size monks. You would think that this statue would be more famous than it is, seeing how the sword alone is larger than two Statue of Liberties. If you look closely enough, you'll see I'm actually standing next to one of the hooves of the horse, just to give you an idea of scale.
I have looked very closely...in fact, I have stared intently at the picture...WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU?! I feel like I'm looking for Waldo...anyway-Georgia looks beautiful. This statue actually reminds me of those 2 statues on that bridge in Cleveland, which reminds me of walking to West Side Market with you guys on a freezing cold day learning to count to ten in Thai :)Love you and miss you both VERY much!! You are thought of often!

I was just joking Crystal. It's not really that big. :)
We don't really think you are there!!!!! How do the monks get up to the monastery? And how ancient?
Re: to e-mail I'm very homesick for you guys too.
