Here Amy shows just how ardous the life of a Peace Corps Volunteer can be.

Here I am crumbling under the extreme pressures of my daily life and job.

This is the beautiful port city of Batumi.

We've honestly had a pretty exhausting last few weeks. We are both extremely busy lately. Amy's school hasn't started classes yet, but she is immersed in a few projects. I'm picking up more and more students for the English classes I teach at the youth center, am still studying Georgian, and have some 'extra' projects as well. Even during our quick escape to the beach, we met with other volunteers to discuss project ideas.

We are both refreshed and recharged for the upcoming week. There are a lot of final details to arrange for the Volunteers participation in the Walk for Breast Health Awareness on Saturday.

Hey! How far of a walk is it? I'll walk on Saturday too. It's so cool that you're doing this. I'll make sure Linda knows. Love, Mom

From Tom:

The walk is 2k, there is a 5k run also. The event promises to be well attended, the first Lady of Georgia is speaking as well as the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia. At the end of the walk is a concert by Georgian Pop sensation 'Sopo'. The event itself was organized by John Snow Intl. , USAID, Save the Children, Healthy Women in Georgia, The Susan J. Komen foundation and other large NGO's. Amy, myself, and the other Kutaisi Volunteers have been involved in recruiting other Peace Corps Volunteers to help with the event operations on Saturday, and working out the logistics of where they will stay.

We are pretty excited that more than 50 Peace Corps Volunteers (out of around 80 currently serving here) will attend.
