Last night, my host father and I made wine. Actually, wine takes months to make, last night I took the grapes from the stems, squished them up, and put them into the fermentation containers. It was pretty fun.
Yesterday we had a safety and security meeting where the Peace Corps Country Director introduced us to the Police Cheif for our city. He provided his personal cell-phone number so that if we ever need help from the police we can just call him directly. Remember this is a city the size of Cleveland.
We then proceeded to the local hospital. It's a brand new building with state of the art equipment. Really, the building wouldn't have looked out of place at the Cleveland Clinic. Here, the building looks extremely strange. We sat in a board room while the director of the hospital gave a presentation on the hospitals facillities. They have one of the brand new 3D MRI's that can show you a picture of your beating heart. I don't know who's heart we were looking at, but it was pretty cool.
This weekend we are going to put our feet into the Black Sea. We are staying the weekend in Batumi, it's a few hours from here, near the border with Turkey and on the Sea.
Also, we got some more letters, thank you for sending them! Mail is taking about 5-6 weeks right now.
I don't have pictures from winemaking off the camera now, so I'll leave you with a cute picture of Amy.

I am so very proud of both of you @ the wonderful work you are doing, but also so envious of the adventure you are having. It looks so beautiful there (even the cows just lay down to relax & look around!)
Enjoy the Black Sea ~~ I've thought of it often as I read all my spy stories!
AND! Tom, Tom, Tom ~~ our Brownies are just waiting for the right moment to make their move for the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, it will probably be in 2037!
While visiting Aunt Sally in Chicago I saw the Sox beat the Yankees (best game I ever saw!) & also visited baseball's second oldest part ~~ Cubbies beat my Pirates @ Wrigley. WOW! What ivy & history there.
Give each other a hug & kiss for me.
Love Ya!
