Today we took a small group of children from the Kid's Ark house of hope on a tour of some Chiang Mai Temples. Here is a blurry shot of me at Wat Pra Sing. I recieved a blessing from a Monk here and collected more strings!!!
The kids really seemed into it, appreciating a chance to give offerings, mediate for a moment and explore the temple grounds. They were extremely well behaved.
They got to have a little fun with this. Here there is water available that each kid poured from a silver cup into a cylindar. Then, together they hoisted the cylindar up many stories to the tippy-top of the temple where with a pull of the string the water is spilled, splashing on the temple roof. It must be a kind of blessing.
Here are the kids practicing English with some French girls, who, luckily, knew some English.
