You know how you imagine a place like Siam - with exotic architecture, the scent of strong spices wafting from busy street markets, groups practicing ancient martial arts excersizes in large tropical parks, long boats and junks crowding canals? Yea, that's what Bankok is like so far. Ahh, but it's also infused with cutting edge technology, soaring sky-scrapers, and a hint of the West tucking a Starbucks in every couple of blocks.
Smiles everywhere. I've learned a few Thai phrases and I can now count.
